New EU pay-transparency rules, explained
A directive now rolling out across the EU is changing how pay is handled in hiring. What it means in practice:
- Employers must show a salary or salary range in the job posting or before the interview
- They can no longer ask about your salary history
- You gain the right to information on pay levels for comparable roles; firms with 100+ staff report their gender pay gap
